After months of warming in the oven, Google's Android 2.3 operating system -- better known as Android Gingerbread -- is finally starting to make its way to handsets around the world.
Android 2.3 provides faster speed, better battery life, and a refreshed user interface. It also introduces a new and improved keyboard with a more intelligent cut-and-paste system. More Gingerbread goodness may be on the way, too: Some reports suggest Google is working on a follow-up release numbered Android 2.4.
So how do you know if your phone will get the upgrade -- and if so, when? We've made it easy. This list has everything there is to know about the Gingerbread upgrade, broken down by device. It'll be updated regularly as new info becomes available, so you can always check in to get the latest info on your phone's status.

Android 2.3 Upgrade List: Phones That Have Received (or Are Receiving) Gingerbread
• HTC Nexus One [UPDATED 7/5/11]: After a longer-than-expected delay -- from users' perspectives, at least -- Google started sending the Android 2.3 upgrade to its Nexus One flagship phone on February 22, 2011. In early July 2011, meanwhile, Vodafone made the software available to Nexus One owners using its network.
• Samsung Galaxy S [UPDATED 7/8/11]: Samsung started rolling out Gingerbread to Galaxy S phones in parts of Europe, including Germany and Holland, on the weekend of April 16, 2011. On April 18, meanwhile, Vodafone in the U.K. made the Android 2.3 upgrade available to its Galaxy S users, as noted in a posting on one of the company's forums. And on May 16, Samsung announced that Gingerbread would hit remaining Galaxy S phones in "the U.K. and Nordic countries" starting in mid-May and would then be "gradually rolled out to other European markets, North America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East Asia, Africa and rest of the world according to the regional plan." Thus far, no elaboration has been provided on that "regional plan," including any kind of firm date for when the rollout could reach American users. Unsubstantiated rumors, however, suggest the Epic 4G could be the first to see Gingerbread, with an upgrade around the 24th of July. Previously, Samsung's U.S.-based handsets -- including the Samsung Captivate on AT&T, Samsung Epic 4G on Sprint, Samsung Vibrant on T-Mobile, and Samsung Fascinate on Verizon -- have been fairly far behind other Galaxy S devices in getting Android upgrades.
• HTC Desire HD [UPDATED 7/5/11]: HTC announced the start of the Gingerbread rollout for its European Desire HD phone on May 4, 2011, fulfilling its promise for a second-quarter release. HTC began pushing the update to users with unlocked Desire HD devices on May 16. In late June, the software became available as a manual download for Desire HD users on Telus. The same month, Gingerbread was made available for Desire HD users on Orange and Three.
• HTC Incredible S [UPDATED 5/16/11]: In late April, HTC made the Android 2.3 upgrade available to Incredible S in Italy. In early May, the company announced a wider rollout for customers across Europe. HTC began pushing the update out to users with unlocked Incredible S devices, meanwhile, on May 16.
• Meizu M9 [UPDATED 5/3/11]: China's Meizu M9 received the Android 2.3 upgrade in early May 2011.
• Samsung Galaxy Tab [UPDATED 7/5/11]: According to user reports, some owners of original 7-inch Galaxy Tabs in Italy received Gingerbread on their devices in mid-May. And in early July, Sprint announced the availability of the Android 2.3 upgrade for Galaxy Tab 7 users on its network. Samsung has said it intends to bring the Android 2.3 upgrade to all Galaxy Tabs; thus far, however, no other specific timelines have been revealed. Samsung has also not remarked on the possibility of upgrading the original Tab to the more tablet-focused Android Honeycomb release.
• Sony Xperia Arc [UPDATED 5/26/11]: Sony started rolling out the Android 2.3 upgrade to its European Xperia Arc handset on May 26, 2011. The update is being sent over-the-air to users in waves, starting with those on unbranded handsets; Sony says it could take some time for the software to reach everyone.
• Sony Xperia Play [UPDATED 5/26/11]: Sony started rolling out the Android 2.3 upgrade to its Xperia Play handset on May 26, 2011. Like with the Xperia Arc, the Xperia Play's update is being sent over-the-air to users in waves. Sony says it will start with unbranded handsets and gradually make its way to the various branded editions.
• Motorola Droid X [UPDATED 5/27/11]: Verizon Wireless started sending Android 2.3 to the Droid X on Friday, May 27. If you haven't received it, you can now manually download the upgrade. You can find full details here as well as at Verizon's Droid X update page.
• HTC EVO 4G [UPDATED 6/3/11]: Sprint released Gingerbread for the EVO 4G on June 3. The upgrade can be manually downloaded via the phone's settings menu; Sprint started pushing it out to users in waves on June 6.
• HTC EVO Shift 4G [UPDATED 6/16/11]: Sprint made the Android 2.3 upgrade available for its HTC EVO Shift 4G phone on Thursday, June 16. You can manually retrieve the software by selecting the "HTC Software Update" in the "System Updates" section of your phone's settings menu. If you don't want to start the download yourself, Sprint is also pushing the upgrade out over-the-air to users as of Monday, June 20.
Android 2.3 Upgrade List: Phones Expected to Get Gingerbread
• HTC Desire [UPDATED 7/8/11]: HTC has done some serious flip-flopping on its plans for the HTC Desire and Android 2.3. After promising an Android 2.3 upgrade for the Desire, HTC said on June 14 that it had determined the phone would not be able to handle the Gingerbread software along with its integrated Sense UI. In a statement posted to Facebook, HTC announced it was "forced to accept there isn’t enough memory to allow [it] both to bring Gingerbread and keep the HTC Sense experience on the HTC Desire." Then, a day later, following (understandable) outrage among users, HTC posted another message to Facebook: "Contrary to what we said earlier, we are going to bring Gingerbread to HTC Desire." HTC says it will "cut select apps from the release" in order to make it work. On July 8, HTC indicated it would begin rolling out the upgrade "by the end of July."
• HTC Desire Z [UPDATED 5/5/11]: The Desire Z is on-track to get Gingerbread, according to an HTC spokesperson quoted at SlashGear. The Desire Z's update is said to be scheduled for sometime in the second quarter. More recent information taken from an HTC support page indicates the update could arrive before the end of June.
• HTC Droid Incredible [UPDATED 5/24/11]: According to an email said to be from an HTC rep and published by Android blog Droid-Life.com, the HTC Droid Incredible is set to receive the Gingerbread upgrade. The email says the upgrade will be made available "before the end of the second quarter of this year." A tipster, meanwhile, tells Engadget the Incredible's upgrade should happen in "late June." Neither HTC nor Verizon has officially confirmed any of the information.
• HTC Droid Incredible 2 [UPDATED 7/8/11] While there's been no official announcement about Gingerbread for Verizon's HTCDroid Incredible 2, the non-U.S. variation of the phone received an Android 2.3 upgrade in late April (see "HTC Incredible S," above). Verizon also updated its website in mid-July withspecific info about a 2.3 upgrade for the Incredible 2. We don't know a rollout date at this point, but all these clues certainly suggest an upgrade is coming -- and coming soon.
• HTC G2 [UPDATED 6/9/11]: HTC has confirmed its T-Mobile G2 will get Gingerbread. The phone is on-track to receive the upgrade sometime in the second quarter of this year, an HTC representative tells me. In early June, T-Mobile gossip site TmoNews reported that G2 warranty replacement units had started shipping with Android 2.3 preinstalled, leading to speculation that a rollout could be close to beginning.
• HTC MyTouch 4G [UPDATED 5/2/11]: An apparent chat between a user and an HTC customer service representative suggests the MyTouch 4G could receive Android 2.3 sometime this summer. The chat, posted by mobile blog TmoNews.com, is accompanied by a rumor that T-Mobile retail employees will be testing Gingerbread on MyTouch 4G devices over the next few weeks. HTC has thus far declined to provide any official confirmation. In late May, however, an apparent test build of Gingerbread for the MyTouch 4G surfaced, leading to fresh speculation that a rollout could be growing closer.
• HTC Thunderbolt [UPDATED 6/20/11]: An email said to be from an HTC rep and published at Android blog Droid-Life.com claims the HTC Thunderbolt will get its Android 2.3 upgrade sometime in the second quarter of 2011. A second email, published at the blog TalkAndroid.com, mentions that same time frame. In mid-June, a purported leaked document surfaced on the Web suggesting that the upgrade would arrive on June 30. Thus far, neither HTC nor Verizon has officially confirmed any of the information.
• LG Optimus 2X [UPDATED 5/2/11]: The LG Optimus 2X -- known in the U.S. as the T-Mobile G2X -- is confirmed by both LG and T-Mobile to be in-line for the Android 2.3 upgrade. While no official announcements have been made about upgrade timing, a support page on LG's Danish website, first discovered by Engadget, says the phone will be updated in June or July. LG has not explicitly said whether that same time frame will apply to handsets in the U.S. or other countries. T-Mobile, meanwhile, has said via Twitter that new G2X owners "won't have to wait long" for the upgrade. An apparent leaked build of Gingerbread for the G2X surfaced in early May, heightening speculation that a rollout could be near.
• LG Optimus Black: Despite the fact that it ships with Froyo, LG's upcoming Optimus Black smartphone will eventually enjoy the taste of Gingerbread, LG has confirmed. No specific date has been announced.
• LG Optimus One [UPDATED 7/5/11]: LG has confirmed that all of its Optimus One phones will receive the Android 2.3 upgrade at some point in the foreseeable future. This includes the Optimus S on Sprint, the Optimus T on T-Mobile, and the LG Vortex on Verizon, as well as the Optimus C on Cricket Wireless, the Optimus M on MetroPCS, the Optimus U on U.S. Cellular, and the Optimus V on Virgin Mobile. In early July 2011, LG announced it was preparing to push the upgrade to Optimus One users in Romania and Russia. As for other countries, including the U.S., LG has not announced any specific time frame, saying only that details will be "announced locally in due course."
• Motorola Atrix 4G [UPDATED 6/22/11]: Motorola has indicated it plans to upgrade its AT&T-based Atrix 4G phone to Android 2.3 at some point in the future. In late June, the website briefmobile.com showed an apparent leaked test build of the Gingerbread software customized for the Atrix. The site claims the upgrade will roll out "sometime in July," though it doesn't provide any source for that information. Motorola and AT&T have thus far released no official details.
• Motorola Droid 2 [UPDATED 5/23/11]: Motorola has confirmed that the Droid 2 will be receiving the Android 2.3 upgrade. The upgrade is said to be scheduled for sometime "before the end of the third quarter or sooner," depending on the speed of Verizon's approval.
• Motorola Droid 2 Global [UPDATED 7/5/11]: In mid-June, Verizon stated via Twitter that its Droid 2 Global would begin receiving Android 2.3 on Wednesday, June 15. The carrier also updated its Droid 2 Global software status page with additional details about the upgrade. Soon thereafter, however, a Motorola employee posted a note stating that the upgrade was not, in fact, quite ready to roll out. More recently, leaked documents have suggested the Droid 2 Global's upgrade could come "soon after" the launch of the Droid 3. That phone appears to be set to arrive in mid-July.
• Motorola Droid Pro [UPDATED 5/31/11]: Motorola has confirmed that the Droid Pro will be receiving the Android 2.3 upgrade. The upgrade is said to be scheduled for sometime "before the end of the third quarter or sooner," depending on the speed of Verizon's approval. A small number of Droid Pro users apparently started receiving the upgrade in late May, but thus far, Verizon has given no indication that a widespread rollout has begun.
• Motorola Droid X2 [UPDATED 5/18/11]: Verizon Wireless and Motorola have confirmed the new Droid X2 will be getting the Android 2.3 upgrade. Thus far, however, no specific time frame for a rollout has been announced.
• Motorola Milestone X [UPDATED 6/9/11]: The Milestone X on regional carrier Cellcom will receive the Android 2.3 upgrade, according to a posting on the company's Facebook page. A time frame for the release has yet to be announced.
• Samsung Droid Charge [UPDATED 7/5/11]: While there's been no official confirmation about an Android 2.3 upgrade for Samsung's Droid Charge, signs of potential progress are starting to pop up. In late June 2011, a video surfaced showing an early build of Gingerbread running on the Droid Charge. Soon after, a similar version of the 2.3 software for the Charge started floating around the Web. Again, we've seen no announcement about an official release -- so don't hold your breath just yet -- but the recent leaks certainly suggest the development process is well underway.
• Samsung Galaxy Ace [UPDATED 5/16/11]: Samsung has confirmed its Galaxy Ace phone will receive the Gingerbread upgrade. The company has not, however, given a firm time frame for the rollout.
• Samsung Galaxy Fit [UPDATED 5/16/11]: Samsung has confirmed its Galaxy Fit phone will receive the Gingerbread upgrade. The company has not, however, given a firm time frame for the rollout.
• Samsung Galaxy Gio [UPDATED 5/16/11]: Samsung has confirmed its Galaxy Gio phone will receive the Gingerbread upgrade. The company has not, however, given a firm time frame for the rollout.
• Samsung Galaxy Mini [UPDATED 5/16/11]: Samsung has confirmed its Galaxy Mini phone will receive the Gingerbread upgrade. The company has not, however, given a firm time frame for the rollout.
• Samsung Galaxy Player: It isn't technically a phone, but Samsung's new Galaxy Player Android device will be upgradeable to Android 2.3, according to a press release put out by the company. No target date has been announced.
• Sony Xperia X10: Sony disappointed countless customers when it said its Xperia X10 line of phones wouldn't be upgraded past Android 2.1 earlier this year. Now, however, Sony has reconsidered its stance and said it will upgrade the Xperia X10 to Android 2.3. According to a company blog posted in late March, Android 2.3 -- 2.3.3, to be specific -- will hit Xperia X10 phones late in the second quarter or early in the third quarter of 2011. A more recent update from Sony says the update is likely to hit in early August 2011. Before you get too excited, though, note that Sony says the upgrade will be delivered to "generic trade versions" of the phone -- and that carrier-customized versions may or may not be included. "We will have to get back with more information on this at a later stage," Sony says, "but we want to be very clear already at this stage on the fact that some of you may not get this upgrade." Sony also notes that Xperia X10 phones will not be upgraded again beyond the Gingerbread level.
Android 2.3 Upgrade List: Phones Where Gingerbread Looks Iffy
• Motorola Backflip: Neither Motorola nor AT&T has said a word about the Backflip even receiving Froyo -- so while there's no official denial of Gingerbread for the device, a 2.3 upgrade certainly doesn't seem like a strong possibility.
• Motorola Cliq: Motorola accidentally announced a Froyo upgrade for the original Cliq last fall, then quickly deleted the apparently typo-caused mention. Since that time, the phone has been stagnant at the 2.1-level on Motorola's corporate upgrade list -- a sign that isn't very encouraging when it comes to the newer 2.3 release.
Android 2.3 Upgrade List: Phones Not Expected To Get Gingerbread
• HTC Droid Eris: Verizon has confirmed that its HTC Droid Eris device will not receive even the Froyo upgrade. The phone is no longer sold by the carrier.
• HTC G1: The T-Mobile G1 was denied Froyo due to hardware limitations, and the same restrictions will keep Gingerbread from officially reaching the device. "Like Froyo, Gingerbread is too large to fit on the G1's system storage," Android team member Dan Morrill explained via Twitter.
• HTC Hero: The Hero got a "no" for Froyo, so it seems safe to say the phone won't be receiving Gingerbread, either.
• Motorola Charm: The Charm will not receive upgrades beyond its current 2.1 level, according to Motorola.
• Motorola Cliq XT: Motorola said Froyo "could not meet the basic performance standards required" while running on its Cliq XT device. As such, the phone is now set to remain at Android 1.5, the company has confirmed.
• Motorola Devour: Motorola says the Devour will remain on Android 1.6.
• Motorola Flipout: The Flipout will not receive upgrades beyond its current 2.1 level, according to Motorola.
• Motorola i1: The Motorola i1 will remain on Android 1.5, Moto says.
• Motorola Milestone XT720: Motorola has said its XT720 tablet phone won't be upgraded beyond its current 2.1 level.
• Samsung Behold II: Samsung has confirmed its Behold II handset won't be upgraded beyond Android 1.6.
• Samsung Moment: Like the HTC Hero, the Moment was given a no-go for Froyo and consequently isn't likely to receive Gingerbread.
• Sony Xperia X10 Mini and Xperia X10 Mini Pro: Though it changed its mind on its upgrade stance for the Xperia X10, Sony says it's sticking to its guns with the X10 Mini and X10 Mini Pro; neither device is scheduled to receive the Android 2.3 upgrade. "We have had to prioritize our resources and have therefore focused on delivering the upgrade to Xperia X10," Sony says.
Android 2.3 Upgrade List: The Rest of the Phones
If a phone isn't listed here -- like the original Motorola Droid, for example -- it's likely because there just isn't much clear info available yet about its fate. Odds are, we'll soon be hearing more and more details with each passing week.

Walking into any carrier’s store is an interesting experience. The walls are lined with devices that all have roughly the same descriptions of features on them, with one or two critical differences. They exist in all different shapes and sizes. There’s a certain anxiety attached to talking to one of the salesman, and for all you know they could just be in it for the commission, right? How can you be sure the device you are being sold is really the best one? Over the next few days Geek.com will be answering that big “best Android phones” question for each of the four carriers. Today, we’re talking about Verizon Wireless.
The Best
Verizon Wireless has created their own branding for their headline Android phones, which they have dubbed “Droid”. The Droid line of phones has historically been the best Verizon offers at that time. Keeping with tradition, the top Android phone on Verizon is the Droid X by Motorola.
The Droid X offers a larger touchscreen than most at 4.3-inches, the largest in their phone lineup. Coupled with the only 8 megapixel camera they offer, the phone was built for capturing high quality video and images. Add to that a powerful processor and 8GB of built in storage and the ability to add up to 32GB to that, and you have a great portable entertainment system. The Droid X is currently running Android 2.2 with an upgrade to 2.3 coming whenever Motorola tweaks their customized user interface.
At $149.99 on a new contract it’s cheaper than the Verizon iPhone or the more recent Droid Pro as well.
The Runner Up
Verizon offers a pretty wide variety of devices running the Android operating system. Choosing the “best” wasn’t so hard, since the Droid X kind of stands out. Choosing its runner up was a little more difficult. After careful consideration, the Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate stood out.
The Fascinate offers a screen that is currently unique to Samsung’s Galaxy S line of phones. Using a high quality 4-inch “Super AMOLED” screen and a Gorilla Glass cover, the Fascinate’s screen works great in direct sunlight and is nearly indestructible compared to other cell phone screens. Running Samsung’s impressive 1GHz Hummingbird processor and sporting a 16GB micro SD card, it’s a more than capable device. The phone is powered by Samsung’s visually optimized TouchWiz user interface on top of Android. This social-focused user interface is on every Galaxy S device, including their tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab.
What’s to Come
I always chuckle a bit when I hear someone say that they are waiting for the “next big thing” as though it will be the last “next big thing”, as though something better won’t be out next month. Still, it doesn’t hurt to plan for that big thing coming up around your next upgrade time, right?
If you read up on mobile technology at all, you have probably heard of the HTC Thunderbolt. Slated to be a 4G LTE device capable of bringing incredibly fast Internet speeds to your devices, this 4.3-inch Android phone is not quite like any other device I have held in my hands, having had that opportunity at the recent Consumer Electronics Show. The release of this device has been widely speculated, but I think I will wait on something official from Verizon before I say anything.

Apple has announced the iPad – essentially a large-size (242.8 x 189.7mm) iTouch. Large multi-touch screen, claimed 10 hour battery life, flash drive of 16GB up to 32GB, browse the web, play music and video, read eBooks. Keyboard dock for the desk, virtual keyboard for when you are out and about. App Store support and runs iPhone apps.
Here’s my instant reaction with a few pros and cons.
The design looks great, as you’d expect from Apple, and I’m a fan of the tablet concept. I wrote a piece on the subject back in 2003 when it still looked possible that the Windows tablet would take off. I think laptops are too big and bulky, and that the clamshell keyboard idea is desperately awkward when you are travelling. Ever tried to use a laptop while eating a meal, flying economy, for example? Or quickly fire up your laptop to get an address from an email, while walking down the street? It’s a horrible experience and the tablet concept is much better in these scenarios.
I also think that Microsoft’s big mistake with Tablet PC was requiring a stylus. Styluses are horrible, expensive, easily lost, and destroy much of the advantage of having a tablet. They are fine of course as an optional input mechanism, for writing or drawing, but not as a required item. Our fingers are capable of fine control on their own.
Apple’s device wins here; plus it has a UI designed for multi-touch, rather than a desktop UI with pen input bolted on top. The same will be true of the apps.
All good reasons then why iPad will succeed. And it will.
Still, I have reservations. When I travel, I need a mobile phone, for voice and all the other things smartphones are good at; and I need a laptop for all the things laptops are good at: email, word processing, spreadsheets, web browsing, custom apps and so on.
However, I will be reluctant to carry three devices with overlapping features, so for the iPad to work for me, I will need to ditch the laptop. Otherwise I’ll leave it behind, use it a little round the house, but eventually wonder why I bought it in the first place.
Thus, the critical question for iPad is this: to what extent can it enable me to leave the laptop behind? A lot will depend on the usability of iWork, the virtual keyboard and so on.
A related issue is the extent to which the device is locked down. I’m not 100% clear about this, but my impression is that the only way to get apps onto the iPad is via App Store. You can get music on via iTunes, and pictures via a USB adapter designed for cameras, and there must be a way to transfer documents via iTunes, but I’m guessing these go into some secure area which cannot execute applications – though no doubt there will be hacks to get round this. In this respect the model seems to be the same as iPhone and iTouch, and different from the Mac. Another factor is the relatively limited storage space.
This aspect is an annoyance – unless you change gear and think of it as a web client. Let’s say I wanted to get my custom database app onto the iPad. Maybe I could do that with the SDK; but better still, why not write it as a web app? Add a bit of offline capability and it could be just about perfect.
In other words, if I can truly get the web habit, so that all the stuff that matters to me is available online, then I can leave the laptop at home and just take out an iPad.
Or indeed Google Chrome OS. From what we’ve heard so far, Google’s devices will also be locked down, and unlike the iPad you will not even be able to install apps from an app store or save music and video locally – though who knows, maybe that could change, when people complain about how useless it is on a train or aeroplane. And like Gizmodo I reckon Google should make a Chrome OS tablet.
I’m beginning to think that Apple could have the high-end tablet market, and Google the low-end, because it’s safe to say that a Chrome OS device will be cheaper.
Microsoft will do its own iPad-like multi-touch device in around 2013, judging by how long it has taken to do Windows Mobile 7 following the launch of iPhone in 2007.

Android Games
As more and more devices are released running the Google Android operating system, developers are creating more apps for Android Market. If you want to look busy, check out our list of the Top Free Apps for Android. But if it's time to relax the good news is that there are loads of games now available and in this article we are going to take a closer look at the top ten best Android games. From great Android bubble games to shooters there is something here for everyone and many of them are free.
10 - Bonsai Blast
First on our list is the completely free Android bubble game, Bonsai Blast. If you’ve ever played Puzzle Bobble then you’ll get the idea straight away. You need to shoot balls into the stream to make up groups of three with the same color and clear them. If you don’t get them before they reach the Yin Yang symbol then you lose. You can move the gun around and there are power ups and bonuses to spice things up. This is addictive stuff and it’s free.
9 – Robo Defense
This is a typical tower defense game where you build defenses and then a wave of nasty robots attacks them. There are loads of maps of various difficulties and you get 20 lives and a choice of defenses which can all be upgraded. If you’ve played tower defense games before then you’ll get straight into this and it offers a surprising amount of strategy for such a simple setup. 8 – Puzzle Blox
This is a mash up of Tetris and Bejewelled. It is a nicely presented puzzle game based around matching colored blocks and there are over 100 levels. There are three modes each offering a slightly different challenge. There is also an online scoreboard but be prepared to put in days playing this if you want to break onto the top. You can also customize your blocks to some extent which is a nice wee idea. This release is a bit pricier though at $4.25.

5 – Sketch Online
This is an awesome free game which is based on Pictionary. You take part with other players in an online chat room and much like Charades the person who guesses the picture correctly becomes the sketcher. You’re given a thing to draw, which only you can see, and as you draw the other gamers see the results in real time and can weigh in with guesses. This is a clever use of the touchscreen and very sociable.
4 - Radiant
Everyone loves a bit of Space Invaders style action and Radiant offers a glowing bout of space battle excitement. This is a classic shooter game which charges you with taking on a vicious alien horde and it is definitely one of the best Android games available. There are basic drones, mother ships and meteors to tackle as you fight to protect your home world from destruction. The basic Space Invaders gameplay has been spiced up with some weapon upgrades and power-ups. 2 – Wi-Fi Army
This won’t appeal to everyone but it is an idea which seemed inevitable and now the technology is here to support the soon to be released Wi-Fi Army. The basic premise is that the game uses your GPS to identify the location of targets and you can kill them by taking a photo of them. This is like taking part in a first-person shooter….sort of….or perhaps more like Laser Quest. In any case if you fancy hunting real people round your city it will be free to play and is sure to make for a thrilling, or at least novel, experience.

Ok this isn’t really a game but if you want to play games on your Android then it is highly recommended. It costs $2.99 and will allow you to install and play NES ROMS on your mobile. This means you can play classics like Donkey Kong, Zelda, Double Dragon and Final Fantasy. Of course you should own the original games if you’re going to do this or strictly speaking it is illegal. You can store the games on your SD memory card and there are some great old NES titles which are easily better than most of the games currently available on Android Market. LG Optimus Me P350 (Some people call it LG PESO ) is a close rival to affordable Android phone Samsung Galaxy Mini. LG Optimus Me price is not much different with Samsung Galaxy Mini, and it’s not just the price, the built in feature is also similar.

Buffered stream catch-up allows developers to set a target latency threshold that triggers slightly accelerated video playback to ensure that live video streaming stays in sync with real time over extended playback periods.

Installation:

Flash Player attempts to determine and place priority on the most important SWFs on a page; however, depending on the contents and construction of a given HTML page, this is not always possible to do correctly without hinting from the content itself. In some instances, Flash Player will mistake ancillary content as the primary content and switch everything else to “Click to Play” when encountering a low memory situation.
Media:

Rendering 3D objects with large numbers of vertices will not perform well.

In some instances, black flashes appear on SWF content when scrolling.
Perlin Noise and Displacement Map bitmap filters will perform poorly on mobile devices.
Several successive pinch-zooms in a single direction can cause Flash Content to not render.
PixelBender Shaders are Not Supported on Android 2.2 but may be partially enabled.
Occasionally, SWFs are incorrectly positioned at the upper-left corner of the screen.
Flash Content in Transparent WMODE will obscure content below it.
The number of concurrent Flash instances is limited to 30 on Android 2.2.
Flash Content is always rendered in Medium quality mode.
