10 Tablet Computer Replacement iPad - Part two

5. Dell Streak

Dell Streak was originally wanted to become the first serious contender for the iPad, but unfortunately not for various reasons. Streak Dell only has a 5 inch screen, so the visual impact iPad tablet can not be replicated by Dell. Second, Streak can be used as a phone, assuming you do not mind holding something sized loaf of bread into your ear.

But Streak has shown that Android is suitable for a device that is significantly greater than the telephone. One of the things that is disappointing is that Dell chose to launch Streak with Android 1.6, not version 2.1, which complements the majority of phones at the time.

Dell Streak is a different product with the iPad, but also a very good, so Dell may enter the Streak for your consideration. So, if you are looking for a tablet device that is smaller than the iPad, Dell streak worthy of consideration.

4. Toshiba Folio

Toshiba's new tablet showcased at IFA Folio told reporters last month. Folio with 10.1-inch screen it is intended to compete with the iPad, through a visual experience similar to Apple iPad.

The Folio uses Nvidia Tegra platform 2 and run the latest Android Froyo 2.2. The version we saw at IFA supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, but without 3G. Toshiba had planned to make a 3G version, but the first version of the Folio clearly intended to compete with Wi-Fi version of the iPad.

Features that are owned, among others, an SD card slot for expanded storage, front facing webcam for video calls and HDMI output for playing back HD video content on a TV or monitor. The downside is the weight of 760g, makes Folio 80 g heavier than the iPad, which is not too mild.

The selling price in Indonesia for Toshiba Folio approximately 5.8 million, making Folio cheaper than the WiFi version of the iPad.

3. HP PalmPad

HP Slate may not appear, but that does not mean that HP has been surrendered. When HP bought the Palm, it was obvious that WebOS is one factor driving the acquisition. Now, armed with touch-based interface that is really impressive, HP just come with the hardware alone.

HP has acknowledged that the tablet-based WebOS is being prepared for launch early 2011, so we probably will see it at CES in January. HP officials, Todd Bradley also said the devices will come as a "PalmPad", but is it true?

No word at all about PalmPad, but given how good is on the smartphone PalmPre WebOS, it's fair to assume that it will be very impressive on the device larger and more powerful. And, HP clearly knows how to make good hardware.

2. RIM BlackBerry Playbook

RIM BlackBerry artificial, in effect, managed to create a mobile email application. But in the case of devices with touch screen, RIM needs to struggle to compete with the iPhone and Android devices. Even so, RIM has the courage to enter the tablet market with the BlackBerry Playbook.

Blackberry Playbook is a 7-inch tablet with a screen resolution of 1024 x 600. Using processor 1GHz ARM Cortex A9 dual-core CPU, 1GB of RAM and storage capacity to 32GB, depending on the model. There are many reasons why the Samsung Galaxy Tabs are on top of this list, but the most important thing is that you can buy it. Well, at least you will be able to buy it in a short time. Unlike Playbook new BlackBerry will be marketed in mid-2011, Samsung has officially announced that Galaxy Tab has been sold on 1 November.

You get full connectivity with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G data. There is also a microSD card slot to expand storage easily and cheaply - something that may never be available in Apple products.

Tablet computer device from Samsung is quite beautiful, although not as sweet as the iPad. However, smaller and lighter than the iPad. The experience overall was not too disturbed by a smaller screen. It appears that 7-inch screen is ideal for tablet devices.

Overall, Samsung Galaxy Tab beat iPad in many ways. However, keep in mind, that this will push Apple to soon release a second generation of the iPad next year.

And even though the BlackBerry Playbook seem to have better specs than Apple iPad and Samsung Galaxy Tab, however, we do not know what Apple and Samsung have to offer at launch BlackberryPlaybook.
